Help! I haven't been in the craft room for awhile now and when I opened the door this morning I couldn't believe my eyes! A HUGE tornado came through! Literally, no walking space or even crafting space! Its a little embarrassing and I'm debating on uploading the photo...just trust me I'm totally not exaggerating. The one thing I need the most is storage. I've been searching everywhere for shelving to store my paper..that's the cause of majority of the disaster.
I guess I won't be crafting today..it's a cleaning day :/

twelve: flower power - trying new techniques
Besides locking myself in the craft room, I love watching video's online. That's where I get my inspiration. I stumble upon Custom Crops videos again and they explained the different type of core'dination paper. I thought, I should use this technique (I find all these great techniques but never apply them!) I actually had some core'dination paper and made a simple card. It was a little too simple but effective as I used the embossing and sanding technique. However, it was missing something...aha! Months ago I wanted to try quilling. Using my memory (that's a first) I remembered how to quill a flower which matches perfectly with the embossed flowers :)

ten: no smoking
First off, Happy Birthday to my dad! :) He turns the big six-oh!
My sister's boyfriend wants to quit smoking. He told her that I could make a chart with my cricut (he obviously thinks the cricut is cool, which it is, and wants a piece of it!) Almost like a potty chart, I created this little number. It was the most tedious thing, gluing those little cigarettes together, lemme tell you.

nine: piiikaaa
The boy I nanny for has his birthday coming up. A Pokemon themed party. Using DS, I created a Pikachu. He came out pretty cute. It's just a simple tag using Plantin Schoolbook and Doodlecharms (I have been searching for a reasonably priced George and Basic Shapes cartridge for a while now...)

eight: hello, hello, kitty. hello my friends
I actually love my melody more but this will have to do. I actually created a DS file of my melody :), though I haven't cut it yet...Anywho, I bought this Hello Kitty cartridge a while back and never used it. This is the first time using a layering cartridge and let me tell you, I had no idea what I was doing the first time around. When I figured out the little marks is a guide for the pieces to be glued, it all made sense. I guess maybe I should read the introduction pages from the book manual..
At first I thought of selling these as a card set..but I think I may just keep 'em for myself :)

seven: pacheco wedding
Hi! Here is a card that I made earlier this month. However, I had to remake this wedding card for my bff (it's a long horrible story..choose your friends wisely). It's a pop-up cake I created on the Design Studio and emblished it with glitter and pearl bead accents.
I wanted to also make her something special to highlight the best part of her wedding night so I created a tri-shutter card which can be dislayed. I think what took the most time was printing the photos! I've never printed in wallet sizes, to be used for a tiny project so that part became really frustrating. But it's done and I think it came out great!

six: lisa's room
Hello there! After my sister saw the card I made my dad, she wanted a sign for her bedroom door...a secret message board. It was really fun to make as well. Yellow, green, red, and black are her favorite color scheme and she loves owls..actually that was her owl stamp I used.

five: slides for my dad
I actually created this card before my brother's even though my dad's bday is mid March. I was just too excited to try out this slider card idea I found online. It was super fun to make. I used Plantin Schoolbook cartridge, Lyrical Letters, and Alphalicious (I think).
